It seems there is a maximum limit of 1 million on the amount that employees can request for advance salary. This is not a big amount in TSH and mostly requests will be bigger than this. Is there any way we can keep it dynamic? I mean can it be different for different employees? Otherwise can it be automatically linked to the salary. For example up to on month of the salary can be requested as advance?
There is no upper or lower limit on amount of advance salary request imposed by Tuhund. Limits are set by rules. You can set upper cap in relation to CTC of an employee on branch level and you can set or override it on employee level. None of the two is mandatory, but it is advised to set the limits on branch level and then decide if any override is required.
To set cap on advance salary request on branch level, please go to erp >> hr >> branch settings. You will see preferences section right under branch calendar. Last option in that section is "put a maximum cap on advance requests." Please edit and enter an appropriate value. You will be entering this value in months and fractions are allowed.
To set the cap on employee level, please go to advance settings in employee file. You will see other settings section under promotion / increment history. Please specify the value for "Advance Limit."
Amount specified on employee level will override the value set at branch level.
Please note: The settings explained above are applicable only for the self service functions. That is, if an employee is raising a request for himself. If admin / HR staff is entering request on behalf of other employees, there is a different mechanism to control preset limits.
