We want to add some services in POS. For example cable TV subscription. As of now we can raise invoice for cable TV subscription only from browser and mobile app, not from POS. If we could make these invoices through POS, that would be very helpful.
Yes you can bill services through POS software just like products. In fact you can handle services same way as you handle products including advanced price mapping, approvals, threshold, branding and analytics. You can even add services in product list. Tuhund will differentiate where it is needed. That is, even though you will add it in invoices like products, Tuhund will put it as a services, apply SAN instead of HSN and ignore inventory which is irrelevant for services. For enabling this you will have to raise a request and we will enable this feature. By default it is off.
By the way, we have two more types of POS; touch screen POS used mainly in fast food industry and self-service kiosk used mainly in shared office environment where a user walking in generates his own ticket and invoice in just 2 (if pre-registered) or 3 (for new registration) steps. For your kind of business, where rates are fixed in 99% cases based on packages, touch screen POS with slight modification might be more useful.
For repetitive invoicing I would recommend you to either use auto-invoicing feature or cloning. You can just keep making copies of existing invoices changing only the required fields. It is very quick. Cloning is available in Inquiries, Quotations, Proforma Invoices, Tax Invoices, Purchase Order, RFQ, RFP, Vendor Quotations and Purchase Invoices.

We are using auto invoicing for monthly maintenance. But for cable TV subscription that will not work. It is prepaid subscription. Most of the times, customer and package remains the same. Only the price can change. Often price is also same because customers get used to paying same amount on every recharge. Date anyway system takes current date as default.
As far as cloning is concerned, I think that might be a good option but we neither remember that nor do we see such a button anywhere. Is it possible that we don't have this option?
Cloning option is controlled by access rights. If you recall, we had decided not to give cloning option to anybody till everybody gets used to system. Anyway you can turn it on for whichever security groups it is relevant to.
Only for the Tax Invoices cloning rights are tied to creation rights. Whoever can create a new commercial invoice can also close a commercial invoice that he has rights to view. Further, only an approved commercial invoice can be cloned.
However, for cable TV subscription I think you will have to add services in POS. The scenario is that you have a walk in customer. You ask for his registered mobile number. You feed that into POS and system pulls out and populated customer details. Without looking at status of current subscription you ask him recharge amount and select package accordingly and save. Invoice is printed and payment is finished then and there. All this process takes just a minute or at the most two. The quickest way for this flow is POS. With one POS operator at each store, you can handle at least (20 customers per hour * 10 hours) 200 customers a day.
